摘要

This paper describes a method based on computer vision system to analyze physical changes and micro structural changes during dewatered sludge drying process. The overall crack propagation of sludge was observed and quantified by image analysis. The changes of quantitative parameters related to the crack dimension such as area ratio, axial ratio and fractal dimension with the decrease of water content are investigated. The results can verify that the parameters value fluctuate as sludge was in plastic zone and sticky zone and then tend to be constant as the sludge entered the granular zone.
