Energy Storage projects: Two main families of projects: Renewable Integration: smoothing, shaping and shifting PV & Wind energy, Grid Storage Systems: Containers or Storage Buildings to support grid stabilization, In many occasions storage services are mutualized and benefits are multiple: Increase the share of renewables in the energy mix, Make regions (like islands) independent of fossil resources; Reduce CO_2 emissions; Reduce the number of grid interruptions/blackouts, Optimize the cost of required electricity infrastructure, Today main markets: Islands and not interconnected grids.
