Hydrological weather data in Shimian Hydrological station in the east Gongga Mountain from 1952 to 2005, based on wavelet theory, are applied to analyze the periodic characteristics and changing trends of temperatures and precipitations in the past 50 years. By wavelet reconstruction, periodic changes of precipitation and temperature characteristics are basically the same in the east Gongga Mountain, mainly including the period of 2 to 4 years, 7~8 years, 12 years and 33~34-year. The periodic changes are related to Geophysical factors and air-sea interaction factors. At the same time, due to the influence of topography and underlying surface, Inter-annual variation is not obvious. It is found that precipitation and temperature is slightly rising by Haar wavelet analysis. Increase in precipitation is a normal fluctuation, which is consistent with Hailuogou Gongga Mountain Research Station meteorological observation at the altitude of 3000 meter. While the temperature from 1950s to 1970s had been in a rise in volatility, but a sudden drop in 1980s, temperature has gradually picked up since 1990, which coincides with the plateau of the canyon. The results of hydrological and meteorological changes provide a scientific basis for the law for further study of Gongga Mountain region.
