This paper considers the problem of minimizing power consumption of the base station in the downlink of the multi-user OFDM cellular network, characterized by frequency selective transmission channel. The channel gain is variable and specific for each user. In this case, the resources allocation must be determined so that the total power consumption is as low as possible. To solve this problem, we proposed an implementation ofsome genetic algorithms and we obtained a better solution than currently applied well-known methods.
