Social Capital and Its Relation to Health

摘要

The aim of this study was to map the social capital profile and examine the association between social capital and three dimensions of self-reported health in Taiwan. Data were taken from a nationwide survey conducted in 2010. The results confirmed that (1) there was no difference for social capital between males and females; (2) individual-level social capital was the consistent and significant predictor of physical, psychological and social health, while females' physical health was not as good as males'.
