Superhydrophobic surface was prepared in hydrothermai method on copper substrate via immersing the clean pure copper substrate into the mixed solution of H_2O_2 and C_2H_5OH, and then the substrate was heated at 100 deg for 1.5 h, follwed by modifying with stearic acid. The product was characterized by scanning electron microscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy.
