摘要

This paper focuses on the operation of the flexible loads of a residential area with an integration of temperature dependent appliances. The HEM system is monitored and controlled by the Demand Response scheme which improves the daily load curve of a smart home. The air conditioner is operated considering the ambient temperature and the thermostat setting of AC as a control variable. The flexible load scheduling is governed by Load shifting technique. The primary objective is to reduce the peak demand and total energy cost. The energy consumption by the HEM system is also examined on different operating criteria which help in studying the operation of the system more practically.
