Vulnerability of Natural Disasters and An Analysis on Its conceptual Models

摘要

Vulnerability of natural disasters is a hot and cutting-edge field in global environmental change and disaster researches, and also the important content of several scientific research programs. By analyzing and comparing the related researches in China with abroad, this paper reviews the concepts and characteristics of vulnerability of natural disasters, and analyses five conceptual models of vulnerability assessment. Furthermore, it discusses their pros and cons and applicability. Finally, we prospect the research trends of vulnerability of natural disasters in order to provide ideas for risk analysis researches.
