A series of superhydrophobic films comprised of polyurethane elastomer with different mechanical property was fabricated via polymer replica, and a friction testing was used to evaluate their abrasion resistance. Some of as-prepared superhydrophobic films exhibited durability against abrasion: after being loaded with 2945.7 Pa and being rubbed by a polish metal surface at 18cm s~(-1) 20000 times, contact angle remains more than 155°, which demonstrate that the abrasion resistance of superhydropobic films depend on the tensile strength and ultimate elongation of elastic micro-protuberances on films.
