Education for International Understanding is a strong trend of thought in today's education theory and it advocates "Harmonious win-win". On top of analyzing the generation background and development process of Education for International Understanding, this article drew the summarization that its basic features are peace culture education, emphasis on dialogues between cultures and moral education orientation of global standard, etc. and argued that it should become a common choice following the competitions of global culture soft powers, although it is accompanied with contradictions between ideality and reality and between nationalism and cosmopolitism.
