This paper introduces a new maximumefficiency operation method of. Synchronous ReluctanceMachine (SynRM) based on a signal injection.. To controlSynRM in the maximum efficient operating point, the sumof the copper losses and the iron losses should be minimized.Although many kinds of efficient operating method hadbeen introduced, most of them were dependent upon themachine parameters. The inaccuracy of the machineparameters, especially d-/q-axis inductances which areknown to vary extremely according to the operatingcondition, makes the maximum efficiency operating point beout of the target. In this paper, a new maximum efficiencyoperating method of SynRM is proposed. Adopting the highfrequency signal injection concept, the maximum efficiencyoperating point can be traced without dependency on themachine parameters. The effectiveness of the method isverified by experimental results.
