Bamboo is well-known in Japan and its stems have always been used. But bamboo fibers have just been recently taken into account in industrial fields. Moreover, the sustainability of the studied bamboo cycle is high. The new method of extraction using a machining center has advantages compared to classical methods as crushing, shearing, steam explosion or swelling. In fact these classical methods do not give good results of quality and accuracy. In regards to the machining center method, the goal of this study is to determine better conditions of cutting which lead to higher aspect ratios. By modifying cutting conditions, in this case the spindle speed and the feed speed, the shape of fibers will be modified. Finally, very high aspect ratio have been obtained but with a variation in fibers geometry.
