Federal Fuel Cell Products and Services IDIQ

DOE and DOD are jointly working to create a multiple award, federal agency-wide set of acquisition instruments to facilitate the ease and speed of purchasing both fuel cell equipment and services for Government facilities. These instruments will include Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts as well as Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) and other energy-related services. This acquisition strategy has the benefit of reducing the federal contracting burden on fuel cell technology acquisitions. The added volume allows economies of scale to occur, which will lower costs and enable further fuel cell commercialization.
