The Direct Fuel Cell Progression - Miliwatt to Megawatt

FuelCell Energy, Inc. (FCE), Danbury, CT is an integrated fuel cell company that develops, manufactures, sells, installs and services high temperature fuel cell power plants. FCE currently offers three commercial products: the DFC300, DFC1500, and DFC3000, rated 300kW, 1400kW and 2800kW, respectively based on the company's proprietary direct carbonate fuel cell design. The direct carbonate fuel cell (DFC~R) power plant is an emerging high efficiency, ultra-clean electric power generation system utilizing a variety of gaseous, liquid, and solid carbonaceous fuels. Currently, over 80 DFC~R plants are operating at more than 50 sites around the world producing more than 1.6 billion of ultra-clean, efficient, and reliable power for customers. The power producing block of FCE products is the Direct FuelCell~R (DFC~R), which has the special ability to generate electricity directly from a gaseous hydrocarbon fuel by reforming it inside the fuel cell and supplying hydrogen for fuel cell reactions
