摘要

Rapidly depleting fossil fuels, coupled with increasing demand for energy and growing environmental concerns, have aroused considerable interest in developing new advanced energy storage devices. Supercapacitors, also known as electrochemical capacitors, have recently been proposed as an important class of energy storage devices because of their high power density, low internal resistance, long cycle life, fast charge-discharge rates, and environmental friendliness. However, their energy density is significantly lower when compared to that of batteries, thus limiting their use in practical applications. To this end, recent research has focused on developing materials with large accessible surface area and high electrical conductivity to achieve high capacitance, while maintaining high power density and cycling stability.
