摘要

Our research has focused on discovering and developing new methods to convert renewable biomass to low-molecular-weight compounds that could be used as fuels or chemicals. The methods that we have explored involve the use of high temperatures and most of our work has concentrated on the study of the conversion of cellulose, an abundant natural polymer of glucose, and cellulosic materials to high-value compounds.
