High-density QCD at the begining of the LHCera: Three lectures

The LHC will collide nuclei with energies more than one order of magnitude larger than those available today. New dynamical regimes are potentially available for high-density QCD studies. We review some of these new opportunities with special emphasis on the physics of small-x in the nuclear wave function and on the evolution of jets in the presence of a hot medium.
