The Open Innovation and Scientific Development

摘要

30 years since the reform and opening up, socialism in China has displayed its Infinite energy and vitality. The reason why socialism with Chinese characteristics has great life-force mainly lies in advancing the mode of independent innovation in the reform and opening up. The paper reviews Schumpeterian innovation theory, endogenous as well as exogenous growth theory, and presents that China should combine the open innovation with participating in economic globalization, and highlight the strategy of rejuvenating the country through science and talents. It draws a conclusion that China must accelerate the transition to innovation-oriented country, ultimately achieving the aim of scientific development.
