In 2007, the UITP Bus Committee set up a Fuel and Traction System Observatory (FTSO) with a twofold goal: one, compile the experiences of different public transport networks in this area into a database; two, analyse major industrial trends. Participation: Barcelona, Geneve, Paris, Asstra, Transdev, SRWT. In 2008, the working party conducted a survey of different bus manufacturers, dealing with their development projects for alternative energy power systems.
