Using biomass as an energy source is a contribution under the sustainable development concept, because the energy thus obtained is considered regenerable. To keep the environment impact to a minimum, it is advanced the idea of co-generation applied so as to take advantage of the biomass energetic potential and maximize its energetic efficiency. Since the performance of the co -generation plants depends on the demand of power and heat, this paper studies the possibility of reducing greenhouse gas emission according to this power-heat demand ratio.
