The Interline Power Flow Controller (IPFC) is avoltage-source-converter (VSC)-based flexible ac transmissionsystem (FACTS) controller for series compensation in a multilinetransmission system of a substation. The common DC link in theIPFC configuration enables each Inverter to transfer real powerto another, so regulation of DC link voltage is an important issueIn overall performance of the system. In this paper, a newmethod based on Genetic Algorithm (GA) is presented toregulate DC link voltage. In this method; GA and systemobjective function are adopted to choose best PI parameters forthe linear controller of DC link of. IPFC. Simulation results inMatlab/Simulink verifies the effectiveness of optimized choose ofPI controller parameters which are chosen In a try and errormanner conventionally.
