South Africa is currently in preparations for the hosting of the World Cup in June 2010 having staged a successful Confederations Cup in 2009 as a pre-cursor to the bigger event. One of the preparations for the staging of this world event is about Transportation. The fact of the matter is that South Africa, and especially its major urban areas such as Johannesburg, Pretoria, Durban, Cape Town, Port Elizabeth are still battling to deal with the day-to-day public transport demand of its citizens, let alone in a sustainable, economically viable, efficient or integrated manner.
