A simple method to produce asymmetric composite membranes based on chitosan and tricalcium phosphate

摘要

A simple method by preheating the Ptricalcium phosphate/chitosan (TCP/CS) solution before lyophilization was used in this study to produce asymmetric composite membranes. The preheating treatment resulted in a skin layer which could increase the mechanical strength of the membrane and prevent the invasion of other tissues. The subsequent lyophilization then gave the rest of material a porous structure which could promote the permeability and adhesiveness to bone cells.
