摘要

The optimization resulted in 2 optimized designs with weight savings of 10.9kg and 17.5kg. The stud of the effect of shape variables on the optmization results showed that the shapes primarily improved the performance opening an opportunity for down-gaging and additional weight reduction. Additional insight into the design was provided in the form of sensitivities, response correlations and tradeoffs.
