摘要

A new methodology is useful to evaluate the quality of hole-edge with different trimming methods and also quantify the strain limit/damage remained from trimming processes. The punched hole showed the hole-edge failure at a lower strain (about 50%) compared to water-jet cutting. The local failure strain determined from the local formability tests showed good correlations in the component bend test results. The stress-triaxiality based failure criterion is more conservative to predict the hole-edge failure.
