For steel - we identify following as key challenges Method to account microstructure in estimating elastic modulus (which is expected to be anisotropic). 4. For fiber reinforced polymer - we identify following as key challenges Method to account for fiber orientation, fiber length and fiber distribution in estimating material properties and developing material model. Method to account for resin crystal structure and adhesion between resin and fiber. 5. Since condition of multiphase in such material, highly depends on processing. It is very important to develop Methods to simulate processes. Method to verify the microstructures.
