摘要

The 36km long Hangzhou Bay Transoceanic Bridge is the longest sea-crossing bridge to date in the world. Along the bridge there is a range of 18.27km in which the deck is composed of seventy-m-span prestressed concrete box girders (SPCBGs). This report presents the key techniques for prefabrication and erection issues related to SPCBGs with an emphasis on the aspects including; construction challenges, concept for decks to be "simply-supported formerly and continuous latterly", measures for enhancing durability, monolithic construction methods, crack-controlling for the girders of premature age, transportation and erection of the girders at water areas , and structural system conversion of the decks.
