Dynamic Characteristics Analysis of Roller Compacted Concrete Gravity Dam

摘要

The roller compacted concrete dam has different elastic constants in horizontal and vertical directions,because of layer by layer compaction in the construction. The influence of this difference on the dynamic characteristics of a Gravity Dam has been studied in this pa-per. The results indicate that the influence on the mode shapes of the dam is small, but the natural frequencies of the dam have an obvious reduction with vertical elastic modulus decreasing.
