In view of the seepage flow change lag problem of roller compacted concrete dam under the water pressure, lag effect of reservoir level change on the dam is studied deeply and the expression of equivalent water head which takes lag effect of water pressure into consid-eration is established. In response to characteristics of the roller compacted concrete struc-ture, the expressions of each influence component of roller compacted concrete dam seepage are established respectively, on the basis of which the safety monitoring model of roller com-pacted concrete dam seepage is proposed. Lag effect of water pressure needs to be analyzed dur-ing the process of establishing the model, so genetic algorithm is applied in this paper to get the op-timization solution, and modeling steps and process are presented.
