Developing Large Scale Non-Grid-Connected Wind Power by Implementing 'Seawater ForwardingWestward' Strategy

"Seawater Forwarding Westward" is a significant way to implement the strategy of the development of West China. It is also a strategic idea to radically solve desertification and sand storm in northwest drought region like Inner Mongolia. This makes us long for the beautiful and rich future of northwest region. However, the key of implementation of this great strategy is to use technology that can utilize green renewable energy sources as its primary productive force for the support. Hereby, this paper proposes to combine wind power and "Seawater Forwarding Westward" together by applying large-scale non-grid-connected wind power technology, which will directly drive several DC-conversion of large high-pressure pumps and transport seawater of 20 billion -30 billion cubic meters per year to the west through pipe culverts. By using rich wind resources in the water transmission line that contributes to the exploration of a new road to industrialization in western China, the non-grid-connected wind power will enable the building of several pressure stations and green heavy chemical bases on seawater desalination, chlor-alkali, nonferrous metallurgy, and coal-based energy industry.
