This paper presents the implementation of two different control methods, the state-space and the conventional control, in a seamless bidirectional full bridge converter for fuel cell applications. Both control methods are compared in simulations and measurements. The differences between a seamless bidirectional operation and a two way (buck or boost mode) operation are explained.
