摘要

This paper proposes design and development of the programmable logic controller (PLC) interfacing to host computer via Ethernet network based on embedded system. The design consists of hardware and software. Within the hardware part, the 32 bit microcontroller that is a family of ARM7 TDMI-S embedded system has been applied to be the main controller comprising of digital input and output, serial and parallel communications, internal and external memories. The software part is designed based on real-time Operating System (OS). The code generator interpreters from text file to be a binary file. An efficiency of the controller performed by measuring the PLC's scan- time during on-line and off-line Ethernet port has been illustrated.
