Influence of radiation model on numerical prediction of two-phase reaction flow

Flowfield in aero combustor is simulated in three-dimensional curvilinear coordinate system. RNG k-ε turbulence model, EBU-SOM turbulence combustion model is used to consider turbulent viscosity and reaction rate in gas phase flow, respectively. In order to consider numerical accuracy of radiation model, discrete-ordinates model and six-flux model are used and simulation results are compared with experiment data. Gas discretization equations are solved by SIMPLE algorithm. Outlet temperature distribution coefficients obtained from numerical simulations are in agreement with experiment data, which shows that numerical method and program applied in this paper is reasonable and reliable. Considering accuracy and economy of radiation heat transfer model, DOM is recommended to simulate radiation heat transfer.
