Graphite-like layered materials composed of boron, carbon and nitrogen (B/C/N materials) have been prepared and expected to be used as new host materials. Na and Mg were intercalated into B/C/N materials, while these metals cannot be easily intercalated into graphite. However, the relation between the composition of B/C/N material and the tendency of intercalation has not been investigated yet. In this study, B/C/N materials having different composition were prepared. Then we tried intercalation of Mg and Ca into B/C/N materials, and consider the relation between the composition of B/C/N material and the tendency of intercalation.
