摘要

Carbon/carbon (C/C) composite has been widely used in applications such as rocket nozzles and re-entry vehicle nosetips because of its high specific strength and modulus, high fracture toughness, good thermal conductivity, excellent thermal shock resistance and chemical stability at elevated temperatures [1]. However, the material is easily oxidized in an oxidizing atmosphere over 450'C, which seriously degrades its mechanical properties and limits its application above such temperatures. Therefore, oxidation protection is very important to facilitate the wider application of this composite[2-6].
