A number of initiatives have been undertaken in the recent years, aimed at the protection of natural environment and the improvement of the atmospheric air quality in large urban agglomeration. One of the most important problems tackled by such agglomerations is air pollution by motor vehicles. As a result, alternate sources of motor energy have been required. In latest years, has been growing interest in applying as fuel natural gas stored in a tank packed with microporous carbonaceous adsorbents.
