Simulation Analysis of Heat Transfer of Power Battery

Based on the model of battery temperature rising established, several kinds of temperature rising processes are analyzed by means of numerical simulation including heat dissipation by natural convection without fin or with fin and forced convection with fin. The comparison and analysis are made for temperature rising process about their temperatures of center and across section plane. It shows that from the results, with the increasing of discharging ratio, the temperature rising and temperature difference of power batter will increase obviously. It is effective to reduce temperature rising by means of forced air convection, but the temperature difference will still keep a big value and with a poor effect. Here it is proposed to decrease the temperature difference both with fin and forced air convection.
