Discussion of Teaching Reform on Quantitative Geography

摘要

Geography of 21st century will play more and more positive role in global and regional major issues such as population, resources, environment, and development and so on. With the development of quantitative geography, it has become an essential instrument to research geographical problem. This paper analyzes the trends and direction of geography development, and regarded that the emergence and the development of quantitative geography had a major impact on the thinking mode of traditional geography and geography; mathematical methods, computer technology and systems for scientific method will become the main methods of geography research, and on this basis the author put forward the proposals on teaching reform of quantitative geography.
