摘要:This thesis is an attempt to reveal labor's response to industrialization in the late nineteenth century from the perspective of labor's economic conditions. The fast growth of industrialization and the backward economic conditions of American laborers formed a sharp contrast. Labor responded violently by means of labor movement including major labor organizations and influential strikes. Through the study a vivid picture of labor's struggle for their basic economic rights was unfolded.
