Spanish experience in the integration of wind and solar energy into the electric power system

Over recent years, a major task of System Operators is to guarantee the adequate integration of wind and solar energy into the electric systems. Among the peculiarities presented by these energies, one of the aspects which make its operation especially complex is the variability of its production.
