Investigation of satellite based localization systems by means of terminology

摘要

This paper shows an approach to apply satellite based localization systems like GPS and Galileo in land transport. The possible applications of satellite-based localization in these domains - automotive and railways - will be shown in this paper. To reach this target, the specifications of satellite based localization system have to be mapped to the requirements of the targeted transport domains, in this paper automotive and railways. This approach is a necessary precondition for the certification of satellite based localization units for all transportation domains.
