During the past decade, the research on the synthesis of nanosized porous TiO2 materials and their application in catalytic industry and photo-cell has been rather intense. Because of the important optical and electronic properties, it is useful for catalyst support, sensors, and so on [1,2]. On the other hand, metal nanoparticles (MNPs, e.g., gold, silver, platinum and palladium) have received a great deal of attention due to their unique physical and chemical properties as well as their enormous potential applications such as catalysts, nanoelectronic devices, sensors and surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS). Thus, functionalizing nanoporous TiO2 supports with MNPs combining the properties of two functional nanomaterials to achieve a wider range of applications will probably play an important role in the development of nanoscience and nanotechnology [3].
