Disability and AT-ICT in Italy, France and Holland

A comparative research about diffusion of aids and assistive technologies in 3 European countries. With this survey we are going to show the main results of the research, made by IRS (Institute for Social Research) during the year 2008, within the wide project involving INAIL and ASPHI Foundation. The research's title is "Disability and AT-ICT: a comparative research about diffusion of aids and assistive technologies in 3 European countries". The aim of the research is to show the current situation, referring at the official sources, in order to give to the organizations, which are responsible of the politics for disabled people, some elements to find possibilities of improvement. The research had to face the problem of the lack of information existing even at the institutional level, although ONU recommends the importance of making these data available. This is particularly true for what concerns aids and the aid market: the data are officially detained by public health board, but actually they are not available.
