Proposition of redefined K_(ij) formula for junctions with flexible interlayers

摘要

Annex E of standard EN 12354-1 presents a series of empirical formulas allowing the prediction of the vibration reduction index K_(ij). Work done recently by the BBRI concerning the application of resilient joints at junctions in lightweight masonry construction has allowed to improve the formula dedicated to junctions with flexible interlayers. The improvements and redefinition of this formula are discussed in the article.
