The interaction of two same-sized PM_(2.5) particles aligned along the wave propagation direction in a horizontal travelling wave acoustic field is numerically simulated. The particle interaction mechanisms of acoustic wave effect and mutual radiation effect are considered in the numerical model. The two dimensional particle motion equations are solved by the combination of the variable time-step fourth-order Runge-Kutta method and the second-order Adams interpolation method. It is found that the two initially separated particles approach mutually and finally collide. The collision time depends largely on the particle size, initial particle separation distance, acoustic intensity and frequency.
