HARBOUR RESONANCE AT MARINA DI CARRARA:LINEAR AND NON LINEAR ASPECTS

Field measurement of harbour resonance are being carried out at Marina di Carrara (Italy) since October 2005. Data recorded in the first 2 years of the campaign are presented and used to gain insights on short and long wave climate at the site as well as on the dynamic response of the harbour. Coupling observations from the field with predictions by linear and non-linear numerical models, the paper discusses non-stationarity and non-linearity of harbour resonance.
