To use non-oriented electrical steels in high frequency electrical motors, the high strength is required to withstand the stress under a high revolution and the bad influence on magnetic properties due to the high strength must be minimized. To obtain these properties, steel alloys were designed with 2Si-0.7Mn-1.5Al and the effects of addition of special elements such as niobium, molybdenum and antimony on mechanical properties, magnetic properties and textures were investigated. Most optimum mechanical and magnetic properties were obtained with a large amount of silicon and aluminum without the addition of special elements.
