An Analysis of the Improvement on Interpretation Panels in Qinling Zhongnanshan Geopark

As an applicant for Global Geopark, Qinling Zhongnanshan Geopark should reach the international standard in producing interpretation panels. This thesis will analyze the interpretation panels in Qinling Zhongnanshan Geopark through the comparison with the panels in some global geoparks in Europe and the national park in the USA. We can discover the fact that the produce of panels in Qinling Zhongnanshan Geopark doesn't reach the ideal standard-the popularization of science,publicityand education. Therefore, during the process of producing interpretation panels, we should observe the principle of briefness,simpleness and popularization of science, while during the process of translating the information on the panels,we should adhere to the translation theory:"Skopostheory" ,to adopt specific translating strategies,in order to perfect our system to reach the international standard.
