Orientation Features-Based Face Detection by Using Local Orientation Histogram Framework

摘要

Detecting faces in an image is a challenging problem owing to the variations in pose, appearance, illumination, background clutter and is well known pattern recognition problem to date. In this paper we present our simple yet effective approach with LOH face detection framework to detect faces. In our approach we use, local orientation histogram and back propagation neural network classifier. We present the functional flow of LOH face detection framework and discuss experiments and results of face detection performance.
