摘要

Increasing compression lowers the resistance of gas diffusion layer. Carbon paper has lower resistance that carbon cloth. After 0.30MPa compression pressure, the resistance remains stable. Addition of PVA and cellulose fibers and polymer coating to the carbon paper increases the strength and resistance of carbon paper. Wet laid pure carbon fiber paper approaches the commercial gas diffusion layer resistance values. PTFE coating can not be successfully used with wet laying process.
